Catering Questions You May Have

Selecting a caterer is an important step in planning your special event. We work individually with you to select the buffet items for your catered meal; and reserve future dates for your event. Here are some frequently asked questions, but we are more than happy to answer any additional questions or concerns you might have. Your event should be special and hassle-free for you – that is our goal!

What if I want something that’s not listed on your brochure?

If you have special requests, we can handle them. If you have a special dish that you want to include, we can work this out. We are able to accommodate vegan or vegetarian diets. We can also do just certain dishes and not the whole menu. Our goal is to do as much as you want us to do, and to take some of the stress off your event for you.

Can I just order side dishes, or must it be an entire meal?

Side dishes or hors d’ oeuvres can be ordered al a carte and are priced at $1.00 a person. Our catering menu is based on full menu pricing; and you can view our full catering menu here. Please contact us to discuss al a carte side dishes.

Do you work with a contract?

A contract is available, if you would like to work with a contract, that is an option for you.

Do you require a deposit?

We don’t take a deposit until we set your final details, at least two months before your date. I accept cash or checks.

When do you need a final count?

Two weeks before the date of your event.

When is the final payment due?

I ask for final payment the week before the event.

Is the gratuity included?

Gratuity is your option.

What happens to any extra food?

We ask that you bring foil containers for any leftover food. Once the meal is over, we will be removing any leftover food from my containers and putting it into your foil pans. Once we have left the event, we are no longer responsible for food safety.

How far do you travel to cater?

Lenawee County, Michigan is our main service area, however for events outside of Lenawee County we charge $20 per vehicle for travel expenses.

Retirement Announcement

After 34 years of catering, I have decided to hang up my apron and seek new adventures. I am thankful for the opportunity I have had to meet new friends and be of help in my way.

I will be booking events until December 31, 2017, but after that I will be looking for my next adventure outside of a kitchen.
